CONF3RENCE 2025 took place this year in Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, marking a major step up from its inaugural edition in 2024. Established only last year, the event has already nearly doubled in size, reflecting both stronger industry adoption and increased institutional interest in crypto.
Dortmund as the Chosen Venue
Unlike other well-known hubs such as Berlin, Munich, or Hamburg, CONF3RENCE was deliberately placed in Dortmund, an industrial city that also hosted Dortmund Digital Week. This brought together not only crypto professionals but also visitors who had little to no prior knowledge of blockchain, wallets, or Bitcoin, creating an interesting mix of audiences.
Two Stages, Two Agendas
The event featured two dedicated stages:
- Deep Tech Stage: focusing on technical use cases, integration, and implementation.
- Main Stage: centred on regulation and high-level industry discussions, including MiCA and Europe’s regulatory direction.
This format allowed the event to address both the builders and the policymakers shaping the future of blockchain.
Industry Players & Key Meetings
Several leading companies and projects were present at the event:
- OKX provided updates on its latest activities.
- Bitvavo highlighted the acquisition of its official license to operate in Germany as of September 1st.
- Tangem discussed strengthening its partnerships in the market.
- Strategy presented its background as a business intelligence software company before pivoting into Bitcoin, after 15 years of developing BI solutions.
- Robinhood, following its acquisition of Bitstamp, took part in networking sessions.
- OneKey Wallet introduced its latest offerings in custody solutions.
The gathering was described as a “Klassentreffen” for the German crypto ecosystem—an opportunity for industry players who already knew each other to reconnect and update each other in person.
Professional Organisation
The event stood out for its professional organisation, particularly the catering, which many participants noted was of higher quality than at some international conferences. Exhibitors also reported that a portion of the attendees had no prior knowledge of crypto but joined out of curiosity through Digital Week.
Community groups such as the German Ape Club also organised activities, reinforcing the role of local NFT initiatives within the broader ecosystem.
Global Context
Compared with international giants like Consensus or Token2049 in Dubai and Singapore, CONF3RENCE remains relatively small, with roughly 5–10% of their visitor numbers. However, within Germany and Europe, it represents a key meeting point for discussing regulation, adoption, and industry collaboration.
With such a promising event, we wouldn't be surprised to see Conf3rence becoming a big name in the crypto scene worldwide.

Organisers confirmed that CONF3RENCE 2026 is planned once again in Dortmund, with official details expected in the coming weeks. The event is set to take place in September 2026, continuing its role as one of Germany’s central crypto gatherings.
