CryptoTicker worked with the distribution service Chainwire on that basis. This is our account of what happened.
What happened between CryptoTicker and Chainwire?
Chainwire is a press release distribution service for the crypto sector, founded in 2019 and based in Israel. Its co-founder and CEO is Nadav Dakner. CryptoTicker published 18 press releases that were distributed through Chainwire, and all of them went live on our site.
The Chainwire partner dashboard for our account, shown above, lists 18 orders and $0.00 in payments for all orders, all time. When we raised the missing payment, Chainwire's founder described the publications as a test. From our point of view, 18 published press releases over several months are regular orders, not a test. When this article was first published in October 2025, the payment was outstanding.
What is FinanceWire?
FinanceWire is a press release distribution service for the wider finance sector. According to public company profiles, it belongs to the same group of wire services as Chainwire. We have no business relationship with FinanceWire.
What publishers and projects should agree before working with a wire service
- For publishers: Agree on prices, payment dates and a written confirmation of every order before publishing. For recurring orders, agree on payment in advance or a fixed monthly settlement.
- For projects: Ask the wire service for a list of the outlets where your release will appear, and check afterwards that it really went live there.
- For both: Keep a record of every order and every publication, so that a dispute can be settled on the basis of documents.
Readers should keep in mind that a press release is paid content written by the project itself, not independent reporting.
