Dogecoin has shown the world the insane power of the memes and of course their love for the dogs. The DOGE token has held up remarkably well in the massive crypto sell-off of yesterday. DOGE is up 4.5X over the past week and nearly 26.7% in the past 24 hours, when the entire crypto market is bleeding! This dog themed meme token is promoted by one of the richest man in the world – Elon Musk himself, who tweets regularly and passionately about it. However, if you feel that you have missed out on this investment opportunity, check out these two alternatives.
DOGE Alternative – Shiba Inu (SHIB)
Self-declared DOGE killer, Shiba is another meme and community based dog themed token. According to the official description “SHIB is an experiment in decentralized spontaneous community building”. SHIB has a total supply of 1,000,000,000,000,000 (or 1 quadrillion) tokens. The project is named after the breed of hunting dogs in Japan. You can acquire SHIB tokens from Uniswap, Hotbit, Gate.io, Poloniex, 1inch etc. 50% of the tokens are in a locked liquidity state and remaining 50% was burned to Vitalik Buterin, ensuring no possible team dump. It has gained significantly in the past few months like DOGE also!
DOGE Alternative – Akita Inu (AKITA)
Akita Inu is another DOGE alternative, which is community based and also named after a dog breed from Japan. AKITA tokens have different token metrics than Shiba Inu, however both have locked liquidity and token burning through sending to Vitalik Butern wallet. It also describes itself as an experiment in community building and being inspired from DOGE, whom it refers to as the big brother. AKITA has a total supply of 100,000,000,000,000 (or 100 trillion) tokens, which is 1/10th of SHIB tokens. You can acquire it from Uniswap, Hotbit, Poloniex etc.
