Filan disclosed that Judge Torres rebuffed the SEC’s plea for an interlocutory appeal in its ongoing Ripple case. This groundbreaking revelation was warmly received by the XRP fraternity.
Ripple News: Community and Leadership Reaction
Both Ripple’s Chief Lawyer, Stuart Alderoty, and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, made it a point to highlight this news on their respective social channels. While Alderoty reinforced the belief that XRP isn’t a security, Garlinghouse inferred that the Court’s decision clearly signalled to the SEC about the ‘Howey’ test’s applicability to XRP.
