World Liberty Financial in autumn 2026: one year after launch
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) is the crypto project linked to Donald Trump's family. Since trading began on 1 September 2025 the token has lost most of its value: it peaked at around 0.48 US dollars on day one, and at the end of September 2026 it trades around 0.056 US dollars. In September the price moved in a narrow range between 0.047 and 0.061 US dollars.
A political brand, an open token question
The fame is both strength and risk. It brings attention and partners for the USD1 stablecoin, but also makes the project a subject of political debate. How the family's stake is locked and what changes for holders from October is covered in Trump's WLFI stake locked until 2028.

What is World Liberty Financial (WLFI)?
World Liberty Financial is a platform for on-chain financial services whose best-known product is USD1, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. WLFI is the governance token: holders vote on proposals, such as a programme rewarding holders who lock their tokens for 180 days and vote regularly. Of 100 billion WLFI, around 32 billion are in circulation.

What actually moves the WLFI price
Three things: the adoption of USD1, because it shows whether there is a business behind the brand; unlocks from the two thirds of supply still locked; and US politics. Whether WLFI is a good buy at the current price is examined in Is World Liberty Financial a good buy?.
Where this forecast could fail
Large unlocks can hit a market that has been falling for a year. WLFI also trades close to other politically driven tokens such as Official Trump, whose price depends heavily on headlines. As an Ethereum token, WLFI benefits little from the development of Ethereum itself.
