Our Opinion

The classic still does its job, but it shows its age: no secure element, no touch input, fewer supported coins. For newcomers we would point to the Trezor Safe 3 or Safe 5; the Model One remains a cheap secondary wallet.

Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Proven open-source classic, in service since 2014
  • Low purchase price
  • Simple, robust operation
Cons
  • No secure element
  • Supports fewer coins (no XRP or ADA, among others)
  • Small display, no touch input
