Educational forecast, not financial advice

Forecasts are projections based on historical patterns and editorial assumptions. Crypto markets are volatile and outcomes can differ significantly from these scenarios.

How we calculate this

Data sources

For our crypto forecasts we combine several data points:

  • Current price & historical data: live market data and daily history from CoinMarketCap.
  • Market sentiment: the Fear & Greed Index from alternative.me as an indicator of market mood.
  • Market size: total crypto market capitalisation, to put any move in context.

How we calculate the minimum, average and maximum prices

For each year our analysis team defines three scenarios – a conservative one (minimum), an expected one (average) and an optimistic one (maximum). We express these scenarios as a percentage change against the previous year.

The starting point is the price on the first trading day of the current year (taken from CoinMarketCap's historical data). We apply the annual scenarios to that starting value cumulatively: each new yearly figure builds on the previous year's value, multiplied by the respective percentage change of the scenario.

Example: starting price $40,000, average scenario for year 1 = +20%, year 2 = +15% → average price year 1 = $48,000, year 2 = $55,200.

What shapes the scenarios

When setting the annual scenarios we take into account, among other things:

  • Macroeconomic trends (interest rate policy, inflation, US dollar strength)
  • Coin-specific factors (halvings, roadmap, adoption, tokenomics)
  • Market cycle phase (accumulation, bull run, correction, bear market)
  • Regulatory developments in the key markets (US, EU, Asia)
  • Institutional adoption (ETFs, treasuries, corporate holdings)

Important note

This forecast is a scenario model, not investment advice. Crypto markets are highly volatile. Black swan events (hacks, regulatory intervention, market crashes) can make reality diverge sharply from any scenario. Never base investment decisions on forecasts alone – diversify, and only invest what you can afford to lose.

How we weight our methods for USD.AI

Not every analytical tool suits every crypto asset. This overview shows what we actually rely on for the CHIP token – and what we deliberately leave out.

MethodWeightWhy
Unlock schedulehighAround 80 percent of supply was locked at launch. Investor and team unlock dates are the most clearly plannable price factor.
Protocol metricshighUSDai circulation and drawn loan volume are publicly verifiable – the most honest test of whether the business is growing for real.
Fee revenue and value accrualhighFor CHIP, what ultimately matters is whether protocol revenue reaches holders. Governance decisions on this outweigh any chart level.
News flowmediumNew facilities or partner defaults change the valuation basis immediately – but we check announcements against volumes actually drawn.
Macro and interest-rate environmentmediumAs a lending protocol, USD.AI competes with traditional financing costs; the interest-rate level directly affects the model’s attractiveness.
Support and resistancelowThe short trading history offers barely any established zones; we use chart technicals only for fine-tuning.
Cycle and halving analysisnot applicableCHIP has neither a halving nor a cycle history, and protocol success depends on AI investment, not the crypto cycle – a cycle projection would be doubly inappropriate.

We deliberately repeat the most important clarification: this weighting applies to the freely floating CHIP token. The stablecoin USDai is designed for dollar parity – forecasting it would mean forecasting a constant; what matters there is solely the stability of its collateral.

Bullish Factors vs. Bearish Factors

What could drive the price up or down

Bullish Factors

  • A real business with documented facilities

USD.AI announced credit facilities of up to $500 million each with QumulusAI in October 2025 and with Sharon AI in January 2026, plus a Series A led by Framework Ventures. That sets USD.AI apart from pure narrative projects.

  • A growing target market in AI infrastructure

Capital demand for GPU data centers is growing structurally. A protocol that brings this financing on-chain addresses real, large demand.

Bearish Factors

  • Massive dilution is baked in

Ten billion tokens total supply, only around a fifth in circulation at launch, investors and team together holding more than half - unlocks will dominate the supply side for years.

  • Value accrual to CHIP is unresolved

Protocol growth doesn't automatically reach the governance token. Without a clear fee flow to holders, CHIP remains a voting right without earnings.

  • A young, untested collateral model

GPU hardware loses value quickly. Whether the loan-to-value models survive a genuine stress test remains open - a default would hit protocol trust directly.

USD.AI in October 2026: the token behind the GPU dollar

An important clarification upfront: what trades here at around $0.049 is not the stablecoin. The USD.AI protocol from Permian Labs issues the dollar-pegged USDai and its yield-bearing variant sUSDai – the exchange-traded token CHIP, by contrast, is the protocol’s governance and incentive token and floats freely. Classic price forecasts don’t apply to the stablecoin USDai; they apply here exclusively to CHIP.

Real credit volumes, an open value question

The protocol’s idea is remarkably concrete: GPU operators tokenize their hardware as loan collateral, financing AI infrastructure in the process. Permian Labs closed a $13 million Series A led by Framework Ventures in 2025 and has announced credit facilities in the hundreds of millions, including $500 million each with QumulusAI and Sharon AI. For CHIP holders, though, the core question remains how much of this growth reaches the governance token – with a total supply of ten billion tokens and only a fifth of that in circulation, dilution is the dominant factor.

The crypto market right now

What actually moves the USD.AI price

CHIP governs the protocol: holders vote on which GPU hardware is accepted as loan collateral, how loan-to-value limits are set, and where protocol fees flow. Token value therefore hinges on two things – growth of the loan book (more collateralized facilities mean more fee potential) and whether governance ever assigns those fees to token holders. On the supply side, structure dominates: ten billion tokens, of which around 20 percent were in circulation at launch; investors hold just under 30 percent, the core team around 23.5 percent – these holdings unlock over years.

The metrics we watch for USD.AI

  • Circulation of USDai and sUSDai: stablecoin volume is the most honest gauge of protocol usage.
  • Collateralized loan volume: how much of the announced facilities is actually drawn and serviced.
  • Unlock schedule: when investor and team tranches increase circulating supply.
  • Fee flow to CHIP: whether and how governance routes protocol revenue to token holders.

CHIP is not the dollar: the confusion risk is a risk of its own

The name USD.AI suggests stability – but the tradable token is a volatile governance asset at the low end of its supply curve. Anyone seeking dollar stability wants USDai; anyone buying CHIP is making a leveraged bet on protocol success and carries the full weight of dilution.

Where this forecast can go wrong

We assume the announced credit facilities are substantially drawn and unlocks proceed in an orderly fashion. GPU hardware as loan collateral is also a young, untested model: if the resale value of the hardware falls faster than calculated, or a large facility defaults, that would hit protocol trust and the token alike.

USD.AI price prediction for October 2026: what the month can deliver

CHIP enters October around $0.043 – after a September that carried the price from $0.0388 to $0.0432, a gain of roughly 11.3 percent (source: CoinMarketCap). The range the month is most likely to play out in sits between the September low of $0.0351 and the monthly high at $0.0618.

What opens the month to the upside: a sustained close above the September high of $0.0618, set on September 4. The argument for it is that financing AI infrastructure was one of the few themes to see real capital inflow in 2026. Above that, our own 2026 range already ends at $0.0521.

What tips it over: a break of the September low of $0.0351, set on September 16. The token is young and the free float small, so every larger unlock meets limited demand. Below it there would be room down to the lower end of our 2026 range at $0.0153.

The dates that decide it: the US jobs report on October 2, consumer prices on October 14 and the Fed’s rate decision on October 28 – this time without updated projections. The PCE deflator and the ECB’s rate decision follow on October 29.

USD.AI price prediction 2026 to 2033: the scenarios

Short term (2026): unlock pressure versus the RWA narrative

In a bear market, a range of roughly $0.017 to $0.056 is realistic for CHIP. The token is young, free float is small, and every larger unlock meets limited demand – at the same time, AI infrastructure financing was one of the few narratives with real capital inflow in August 2026.

Medium term (2027–2028): the loan book has to deliver

In the base case, CHIP establishes itself between $0.02 and $0.05, provided USDai volume grows and facilities are serviced. The bullish scenario toward $0.07 to $0.10 requires two things: demonstrably drawn loan volumes approaching the billions, and a governance decision that noticeably routes protocol fees to CHIP holders. In the worst case, unlocks against a stagnant loan book push the price below $0.01.

Long term (through 2033): the bet on hardware as collateral

Over the long run, CHIP is a bet that financing AI data centers partly moves on-chain, with USD.AI retaining a leading role in that shift. The addressed market is real and large; the open questions are value capture and competition – traditional lenders and other RWA protocols are targeting the same business.

Risks to the USD.AI forecast

First, dilution: around 80 percent of supply was not in circulation at launch. Second, collateral risk – GPUs age quickly, and their residual value is cyclical. Third, the unresolved question of value accrual to the governance token. Fourth, regulation: a protocol sitting at the intersection of stablecoins and lending is likely to face tighter oversight over time.
