Bitcoin Whitepaper on MAC Computers
The whitepaper, titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” was published in 2008 and lays out the framework for the mechanisms that power Bitcoin. The author’s true identity has never been revealed, leading to speculation that it could have been Jobs. However, this theory has been debunked since the white paper was found on Mac computers seven years after Jobs’ death.
Who discovered the Bitcoin Whitepaper on MACs?
Technologist Andy Baio stumbled upon the white paper while trying to fix his printer and found that it appears to have been hidden in “every copy of macOS since Mojave in 2018.” This discovery prompted Twitter users to share screenshots of the white paper on their Macs, and it was subsequently found on the latest version of macOS.

Is Steve Jobs Satoshi Nakamoto?
While the presence of the white paper on Mac computers is unusual, it doesn’t provide any concrete evidence of Jobs’ involvement in the creation of Bitcoin. Additionally, Jobs was not an expert programmer, according to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains a mystery, with some speculating that it could have been a group of people given the complexity of Bitcoin’s code. Nakamoto disappeared from online appearances in 2010, and some estimate that crypto wallets associated with the pseudonym hold more than 1.1 million Bitcoin tokens, worth billions of dollars.
