Educational forecast, not financial advice

Forecasts are projections based on historical patterns and editorial assumptions. Crypto markets are volatile and outcomes can differ significantly from these scenarios.

How we calculate this

Data sources

For our crypto forecasts we combine several data points:

  • Current price & historical data: live market data and daily history from CoinMarketCap.
  • Market sentiment: the Fear & Greed Index from alternative.me as an indicator of market mood.
  • Market size: total crypto market capitalisation, to put any move in context.

How we calculate the minimum, average and maximum prices

For each year our analysis team defines three scenarios – a conservative one (minimum), an expected one (average) and an optimistic one (maximum). We express these scenarios as a percentage change against the previous year.

The starting point is the price on the first trading day of the current year (taken from CoinMarketCap's historical data). We apply the annual scenarios to that starting value cumulatively: each new yearly figure builds on the previous year's value, multiplied by the respective percentage change of the scenario.

Example: starting price $40,000, average scenario for year 1 = +20%, year 2 = +15% → average price year 1 = $48,000, year 2 = $55,200.

What shapes the scenarios

When setting the annual scenarios we take into account, among other things:

  • Macroeconomic trends (interest rate policy, inflation, US dollar strength)
  • Coin-specific factors (halvings, roadmap, adoption, tokenomics)
  • Market cycle phase (accumulation, bull run, correction, bear market)
  • Regulatory developments in the key markets (US, EU, Asia)
  • Institutional adoption (ETFs, treasuries, corporate holdings)

Important note

This forecast is a scenario model, not investment advice. Crypto markets are highly volatile. Black swan events (hacks, regulatory intervention, market crashes) can make reality diverge sharply from any scenario. Never base investment decisions on forecasts alone – diversify, and only invest what you can afford to lose.

How we weight our methods for Hedera

Not every analytical tool suits every crypto asset. This overview shows what we actually rely on for Hedera – and what we deliberately leave out.

MethodWeightWhy
ETF/fund inflows and outflowshighWith exchange-traded US spot products, HBAR has a regulated demand channel that only a few altcoins can claim. The flow data makes institutional interest measurable on a daily basis for the first time.
Enterprise and governance newshighThe governance council of corporations including Google, IBM and Dell is Hedera’s defining feature. Additions, departures and real corporate projects change the investment thesis directly.
Tokenisation tractionmediumThe enterprise narrative needs to become measurable – productive applications and tokenised volumes count for more than declarations of intent.
On-chain datamediumHigh transaction counts on Hedera stem largely from the Consensus Service; we therefore weight value-generating activity, not raw throughput records.
Support and resistancemediumThe zone around $0.07 forms the decisive support; above it, the bottoming thesis stays intact.
Fibonacci retracementslowWithout a complete cycle history of its own, retracements offer at best a rough orientation, not a basis for forecasting.
Cycle and halving analysisnot applicableHedera has no mining and no halving; the total supply of 50 billion HBAR is fixed and issued on a set schedule. Supply-driven cycle models do not apply here.

Hedera is one of the few altcoins where we can evaluate institutional flow data much as we do for Bitcoin – which is why our scenarios react more strongly to ETF flows and corporate news than to chart technicals. If inflows fail to materialise, not even the most prominent governance council helps the price.

Bullish Factors vs. Bearish Factors

What could drive the price up or down

Bullish Factors

  • Governed by a council of major corporations

Hedera is administered by a panel of international corporations. For risk-averse institutional users, that is an argument for trust.

  • Predictable, very low fees

Fixed cost per transaction makes budgeting predictable for enterprise applications - unlike fluctuating gas fees.

Bearish Factors

  • Governance model contradicts decentralisation claims

Control by a closed circle deters part of the crypto community and limits community-driven demand.

  • Barely any self-sustaining DeFi ecosystem

Without developers and liquidity, HBAR's practical utility stays confined to announced enterprise pilot projects.

Hedera in October 2026: enterprise ambition meets market reality

HBAR is trading around $0.095, far below earlier highs. Hedera differs structurally from the rest of the market: instead of a classic blockchain, the network uses hashgraph consensus, and governance sits with a council of corporations including Google, IBM and Dell. With the launch of exchange-traded HBAR spot products in the US, the token also has a regulated access route for institutional investors that only a few altcoins can claim.

Credibility as a business model

Hedera’s strength is its positioning as a regulation-friendly network for enterprises: predictable fees, high throughput and use cases from tokenisation to ESG data verification. The weakness is the gap between ambition and on-chain reality – much of the activity remains modest, and the council structure reads as centralised to crypto purists. The risk-reward profile: sturdier than most altcoins thanks to ETF access and an enterprise base, but dependent on pilot projects finally turning into scaling usage.

The crypto market right now

Total value and sentiment of the market from our own charts. While the page is open, the values refresh at the pace of their source.

What actually moves the Hedera price

Hedera does not use a classic blockchain method but a hashgraph – a consensus mechanism that allows high throughput at fixed, very low fees. For enterprises, the decisive point is predictability: costs per transaction are foreseeable, unlike fluctuating gas fees.

The network is governed by a council of international corporations. For risk-averse institutions, that is an argument for trust – for part of the crypto community, it contradicts the claim to decentralisation. That tension still shapes perceptions of HBAR today.

The metrics we watch for Hedera

  • Transactions from enterprise applications: viewed separately from pure trading volume, the most meaningful metric.
  • Composition of the Governing Council: additions and departures of major members signal institutional traction.
  • Release from the treasury reserve: a substantial part of supply is not yet in circulation – the most important supply factor.
  • Activity in its own DeFi sector: Hedera’s weakest point so far.

The valuation problem: usage without token demand

Enterprise applications on Hedera consume fees in the fraction-of-a-cent range. Even millions of transactions therefore generate little demand for HBAR. As with Stellar, the same logic applies: the network can succeed without the token rising much. Our price targets reflect this decoupling.

Where this forecast could fail

If the announced enterprise pilots stay stuck in testing, the thesis remains unproven. And as long as no self-sustaining ecosystem emerges, HBAR stays dependent on a handful of large applications – a concentration risk.

Hedera price prediction for October 2026: what the month can deliver

Hedera enters October around $0.104 – after a September that carried the price from $0.0736 to $0.105, a gain of roughly 42.3 percent. The range the month is most likely to play out in sits between the monthly low of $0.0720 and the September high at $0.131.

What opens the month to the upside: a sustained close above the September high of $0.131, set on September 28. That would at the same time clear the upper end of our own 2026 range at $0.103.

What tips it over: a break of the September low of $0.0720, set on September 16. Below it there would be room down to the lower end of our 2026 range at $0.0481.

The dates that decide it: the US jobs report on October 2, consumer prices on October 14 and the Fed’s rate decision on October 28 – this time without updated projections. The PCE deflator and the ECB’s rate decision follow on October 29.

Hedera price prediction 2026 to 2033: the scenarios

Short term (2026): ETF flows against market weakness

In a bear market, a range of roughly $0.07 to $0.14 is realistic for HBAR. ETF availability stabilises the demand side somewhat, but cannot override the broader market trend; the zone around $0.07 forms the decisive support.

Medium term (2027–2028): tokenisation needs to become measurable

In the base case, HBAR recovers toward $0.15 to $0.25, supported by a broader market recovery and steady ETF inflows. In the bull case, enterprise applications – tokenised assets, payment projects, verification services – deliver substantial network revenue for the first time; in that scenario, prices above $0.30 would be within reach.

Long term (through 2033): the institutional thesis

Over the long run, HBAR is a bet that corporations and financial institutions will choose a legally defensible, predictable network with known governance for serious applications – and that the most predictable chains win out, not the wildest ones. If that holds true, Hedera would have a structural advantage; if enterprise demand stays theoretical, the token lacks a fundamental anchor.

Risks to the Hedera forecast

First, the gap between prominent partner names and actual, revenue-generating network usage. Second, ongoing token releases from the treasury, which create supply pressure. Third, competition for tokenisation from Ethereum, Avalanche and bank-owned chains. Fourth, sentiment’s dependence on ETF flows – if those turn negative, there is no broad retail base to act as a safety net.
